This charming family friendly eco resort on the beach in North Lombok was opened in August 2011. It has the black sand beach all to itself and enjoys views on the Gilis and Mount Rinjani at sunrise. The bungalows are spacious and can accommodate up to two extra single beds. This resort is built in bamboo and other with natural materials and it aims to offer natural experiences and a type of tourism leaving a minimum footprint on the local environment.

It has a swimming pool at the front of the resort has a shallow part for small children and a deep area for scuba diving training. The sea at the front is calm and good for swimming and snorkeling. “Lombok Adventures Diving” is the resort’s Padi dive shop and they offer all Padi certifications and diving trips to the Gilis or other diving spots along the coast. Families can rent snorkels and masks.

The resort has implemented ecological principles: use of natural local materials, wastewater gardens, bioseptic tanks, staff from the local community. Guy and Marja Lena are a friendly French/Swedish couple with a the most adorable baby, Kim, and they are very welcoming to families. The menu offers Indonesian and Western dishes including tasty homemade pizzas. Activities for children include badmington, darts, treks, mountain biking, snorkeling, visit to local schools, sea kayaking, learning to juggle with Guy. Children will enjoy a trip to the close by Gangga waterfalls and a hike in the forest to discover coffee, vanilla and cocoa plants. Rinjani Beach Eco Resort is a perfect base for trips to Mount Rinjani, traditional villages or other areas of Lombok. We loved the relaxed atmosphere and can recommend this friendly resort for all families.
